Traffic analytics (Google Analytics 4)

Page views, device and browser type, and approximate region are recorded as aggregate statistics, used to understand how the site is used and to improve its content; provided by Google using its cookie technology.

Only when you actively click the “Feedback & Notices” button at the bottom-right and submit, we collect what you write plus the necessary technical details (the page you were on, browser information, and any screenshot you choose to attach).

Third-party content requests

When you browse the 3D pilgrimage map, your browser requests data directly from the tile services (Esri, AWS open data); the same happens when you click to play an embedded YouTube video (served from the youtube-nocookie domain, loaded only after a click), or when you open one of the site's interactive 3D models (likewise loaded only after you click the preview, fetching the three.js graphics library from the Cloudflare cdnjs and jsDelivr CDNs). These services receive connection details such as your IP address.

This site itself sets no tracking cookies; the language version is determined by the URL, without cookies.

It only uses the browser's localStorage for a few preferences (whether the language-suggestion banner has been dismissed, the 3D page's performance mode and sound toggle, the 3D model pages' language choice — written when you open a model page directly or switch its language manually, never by the embedded previews — plus camera and panel settings used only by the site owner's tuning mode, written only when that mode is opened manually). None of these contain personally identifying information, and you can clear them at any time through your browser.

Google Analytics cookies are set by Google and can be blocked through your browser settings.

The data above is used only to run the site, improve its content, and respond to your feedback; it is not sold, not exchanged, and not used for ad targeting.

You may ask us at any time to delete feedback you have submitted (contact us via the “Feedback & Notices” button); traffic analytics are anonymous aggregate statistics and cannot be traced to any individual.

This site's content is not designed for children. Please also refrain from including sensitive personal data, such as national ID numbers, in your feedback.
